how bijela makes the workday brighter and better for 10 years already
Working in tourism is a privilege. We get to connect with people from all over the world and visit incredible destinations. Yet, this privilege often comes with a lot of hard work. The work never stops and expectations are high from our clients as well as the media and travel trade partners we work with. It's a world where passion is the driving force, but where stress can be an ever-present companion.
This is precisely why finding a healthy balance is essential. For me, that balance is linked to another ever-present companion: our dog. Ten years ago, me and my family welcomed Bijela, our white shepherd, into our lives, and she managed to make this already great job even better. All kind of studies show that people with dogs are not only happier but also experience significantly less stress. The daily routine of a walk, their unconditional companionship, and the fun they bring act as a powerful antidote to work pressure.
Our work can be stressful at times, with deadlines always looming. Yet, with a wag of her tail, Bijela reminds us not to take things too seriously. Stress often disappears just by looking at her. She's also an official reason to go outside for a walk. During these essential breaks away from the screen, creative ideas often surface, and the mind clears, allowing us to return to the desk more focused.
Our loyal four-legged friend has reached the respectable age of 10. We cherish every moment and hope to enjoy many more years of her companionship, as the perfect complement to the dynamic life in tourism.
